Tipping’s Transport is a family owned and operated business which has connected Dubbo and regional NSW with metropolitan areas for over 40 years.
Tipping’s Timbers was the start of the story for the locally based Tipping family operating sawmills in the neighbouring Central-West towns of Peak Hill, Trangie and then eventually Dubbo. Establishing a purpose-built site that is still part of the Dubbo community today, now operated by another local family Ramien’s Timbers who took over from Tipping’s in the late 70’s as Tipping’s turned their attention to the transport industry.
Today Tipping’s continues to be a family owned and operated business with fourth generation Ned working alongside his parents Grant and Sally. Recent growth in the region with major infrastructure projects in the construction and renewables sector has allowed Ned to return home to Dubbo, bringing his 10 years of experience in the mining industry to allow the family business to foster opportunities available in the region.
Dubbo is attracting a lot of major infrastructure projects as well as being located at the centre of the Central-West Orana Renewable Energy Zone, which poses opportunities through all stages of multiple projects. These projects bring a lot of investment and jobs to our region but also require the use of many local businesses.
The opportunities available in the region are amazing, it has given a small family business the opportunity to work alongside large corporate enterprises as well as being involved in some of the largest major infrastructure projects our region has seen to date. The flow on effects from engaging one small business results in benefits for the broader community, as their local sub-contractors and suppliers all benefit.
Tipping’s is proud of its history and contribution to the Dubbo community.
