Anzac Day services will be held across the Dubbo Region on Saturday 25 April 2026.
Dubbo:
Dawn Service: The Dawn Service begins at 5:45am at the Cenotaph at Victoria Park on Darling Street. Darling Street between Talbragar and Wingewarra Streets will be closed from 5am to 6:30am.
Anzac Day March and Service: The Anzac March will begin in Wingewarra Street outside the Dubbo RSL. Those taking part in the march are asked to gather at 10:00am with the March beginning at 10:15am sharp. The March will proceed to the Cenotaph at Victoria Park at 10:30am in readiness for the Service to commence at 11:00am sharp.
Anzac Day Talk:
Following the Dawn Service, the Western Plains Cultural Centre will host local historian Lawrance Ryan for a special Anzac Day talk.
This is a free drop-in event, beginning at approximately 7:00am on Anzac Day morning. The WPCC will also be open, serving coffee and bacon and egg rolls.
Talk Title: More Than Just One Day: How the Breakout changed Cowra’
Talk Blurb:
Everyone has heard of the Cowra Breakout, the biggest military prison escape in modern history, and the site of the only land battle fought on Australian soil during WW2. However, what do you know about the important role that Cowra played in the overall war effort, or the reconciliation that has developed in subsequent years between the people of the town and the people of Japan? Join local historian Lawrance Ryan to learn more about this important part of Central West history and discover why, for Cowra, the effects of the Breakout have lasted for more than just one day.
Wellington:
Dawn Service: Ex-Servicemen and Women will assemble at Soldiers Memorial Club at 5:45am and will march to Cameron Park for the 6:00am for the Dawn Service.
Anzac Day March and Service: The Anzac March will begin from the corner of Lee and Gisborne streets. Those taking part in the March are asked to gather from 10:25am with the March beginning at 10:45am. The march will proceed to the Cenotaph at Cameron Park for the 10:55am Service.
Dusk Service: The dusk service will commence at Cameron Park at 3:10pm.

Stuart Town: 11:00am - 12:30pm
Road Closures - Molong Street, between the Burrendong Way (Alexander Street) and Bell Street from 10.00am to 1.30pm, with a detour of Molong Street via Burrendong Way and Bell Street.
Mumbil: 8:45am - 9:30am
Eumungerie/Cobocco: 10:30am - 11:00am at Cenotaph, 11:00am - 11:30am at Hall
Gollan: 11:00am - 12:00pm
Geurie: 8:40am - 9:30am
Motorists are advised that those vehicles parked within the nominated street will not be able to be moved until the road is opened.
