Athletics NSW Country Championships

The Dubbo Region is proud to sponsor the 2025 Athletics NSW Country Championships and welcomes more than 700 competitors and supporters visiting to enjoy this event.

Dubbo's outstanding athletic facility, Barden Park; the Region's abundance of accommodation; our enviable transport links and a vast range of visitor experiences including award-winning tourism attractions and our range of hospitality offerings, attracted the Championships return to Dubbo!

This meet is ratified by World Athletics and Athletics Australia, in the Open and Under 20 age group events only. Athletes competing in these age groups can qualify for international and national competition, accumulate World Athletics ranking points, break Athletics NSW and Athletics Australian records, and have their performances added to World Athletics top lists.

All Other events will be ratified as a state permit, allowing athletes to qualify for the National Championships.

This event will attract upwards of 700 visitors over 3 nights.

Participants will compete across various track and field disciplines and will be aged from 8 years to 80+ years.

This event is set to deliver an economic impact of $1.1M into the local economy.

This event was attracted to Dubbo under Council's Event Attraction Plan and is proudly sponsored by Dubbo Regional Council.
