About this event

As part of Big Tech Big Ideas, NSW Government is proud to host a special screening of Just A Farmer - a heartfelt and powerful Australian film that captures the resilience, struggles and triumphs of rural life.

Through an emotional yet inspiring narrative, Just A Farmer shines a light on the real challenges faced by farmers and their families. It explores important themes including mental health, community support, and the unbreakable bond between people and the land they work. This is more than a film screening. It is an opportunity to come together as an industry and as a community.

Mental health in rural communities is often overlooked. Starting conversations can be difficult but they are critical. Just A Farmer screening creates a safe and respectful space to bring these issues to light and foster genuine connection.

The screening of Just a Farmer is proudly sponsored by Dubbo Regional Council and Narromine Shire Council through the Regional Drought Resilience program.
