The Dubbo Violence Prevention Collective will be hosting a free ‘Reclaim the Night’ event on Friday 5 December 2025 from 6pm-9pm.
The rally coincides with the International 16 Days of Activism against gender-based violence. ‘Reclaim the Night’ is a call to action focused on raising awareness and promoting women's safety. The movement encourages community participation and solidarity to address issues of violence and to support victim-survivors.
The event will commence with a march through the Dubbo CBD, starting and finishing at the Church Street Rotunda. This will be followed by presentations from Dave Kramer (Small Steps 4 Hannah) and Dr Tanveer Ahmed (Psychiatrist, author and columnist) as well as service stalls, free live music performed by Sammi Bourke and a free community BBQ provided by Dubbo Rotary Clubs.
