Valentine's Day at Taronga Western Plains Zoo

Love will be in the air at Taronga Western Plains Zoo on Saturday 14 February 2026. Celebrate Valentine’s Day with a truly unique and intimate evening, sharing a seven-course dining experience with your loved one, complete with a welcome drink, live music and an exclusive after-hours zoo tour. Set against the unforgettable backdrop of the Savannah, this is an experience designed to be remembered.

The evening begins with arrival drinks at 6:00pm, followed by a truck pickup at 6:30pm for a special after-hours tour of the zoo. Guests will return to the Savannah Room at 7:00pm, be seated at 7:15pm for the commencement of the meal and live music, with the event concluding at 8:45pm and all guests off site by 9:30pm.

The carefully curated menu features a tempura zucchini flower filled with lemon myrtle ricotta and romesco, a peach and prosciutto salad with bocconcini and local honeycomb, Australian ocean king prawns charred and served with spicy lime mango coulis and samphire, confit duck Maryland with desert peach chutney and endive, a refreshing plum and finger lime sorbet, pepperberry-crusted beef tenderloin reverse seared with golden potato pave, and a lemon trifle with lemon curd, almond cake and Quokka Gin jelly.
