Mount Arthur Reserve, located just outside Wellington NSW, is a scenic nature destination in the Dubbo Region offering bushwalking, hiking, mountain biking and horse riding. Set across 2,123 hectares in the Catombal Range, the reserve features panoramic lookouts and three peaks – Mount Arthur, Wellesley and Duke.
Recognised for its natural significance, Mount Arthur Reserve is listed on the Register of the National Estate and has been protected since 1913. It is one of the oldest Crown Reserves of its kind in western NSW.
Home to more than 400 native plant species, including a rich variety of terrestrial orchids, the reserve also provides important habitat for native wildlife. It’s an ideal destination for nature lovers, outdoor adventurers and those looking to explore the landscapes surrounding Wellington.
